- You should have more sports and gymnastics and make sure that there are associations and premises that attract children and young people.

Everyone is different and appreciates different things, says Oskar Nyström.

The prevalence of overweight and obesity in Swedish three- and four-year-olds increased during the covid 19 pandemic.

This is shown by a new study based on data on 25,000 children from Sörmland, Dalarna and Jönköping counties.

Changed behaviors

According to Anton Holmgren, doctor and one of the co-authors of the study, this is likely due to young children moving less and eating more junk food.

- Some children can eat very unhealthy food and move quite a bit without getting this problem, so life is unfair.

But for children who are sensitive, it is the case that movement and what you eat are what determine whether you become overweight or even obese (obesity).

In the video, you hear a couple of parents of young children in Strängnäs tell how they think about food, exercise and obesity.
