Two men have been indicted for murder committed in an organized gang and imprisoned in the investigation into the death of a man leaving a nightclub in Ruaudin (Sarthe) in early December, the gendarmes announced on Monday.

On December 10, at the exit of a nightclub near Le Mans, "three individuals clashed in the parking lot because of an existing dispute between them, a brawl during which blows were struck with the bare hands of a side, by knife and firearm on the other, resulting in the death of a young man of 23 years (…)”, indicated the gendarmeries of Sarthe and Angers in a press release.

"Clan War"

“The cause of the altercation between these young people, from Guyana for the victim, from Guadeloupe for one and from Martinique for the other of the two implicated, would result from a “war” of clans or territory, for which violent confrontations, including armed ones, had already been observed in recent months”, according to the same source.

The two suspects, aged 21 and 23, were arrested "smoothly" in Belfort and Saint-Nazaire (Loire-Atlantique), according to the same source.
