Therefore, the conflict in northern Kosovo flares up again

The relationship between the Balkan neighbors has always been tense, and in recent weeks the conflict has flared up again.

For almost three weeks, Kosovo Serbs have set up roadblocks on country roads near the border with Serbia, and on Tuesday a road barricade was also set up for the first time in the city of Mitrovica, where both Serbs and Kosovo Albanians live.

Serbia has never recognized Kosovo's independence, which it declared in 2008.
