The weather on Wednesday: a new disturbance arrives from the northwest

The weather on Wednesday will be marked by the arrival of a new disturbance from the North-West, with fairly strong winds, according to Météo-France.

From the start of the day, from the Breton peninsula and the Pays de Loire to the Belgian border, the sky will be overcast, with initially light and scattered rains and southwesterly winds up to 60 to 70 km. /h in bursts.

During the morning, over Brittany and the Cotentin, then as far as Hauts de France, the rains will become more widespread and sometimes marked.

The wind will strengthen again a notch, it will reach 80 to 90 km/h on the coast, locally 100 km/h, 60 to 80 km/h inland.

The disturbance will extend into the afternoon

From the Pays de Loire and Poitou-Charentes to the Paris region and Champagne-Ardenne, after a few drops in the morning, the disturbance will arrive in the afternoon, with more marked rains.

The southwest wind will also strengthen, up to 50 to 60 km / h, or even 70 km / h in gusts inland.

From Aquitaine to the North-East, after the sometimes late dissipation of the morning fogs, there is little chance of seeing the sun.

The sky will become increasingly cloudy, but the rains will not arrive until the following evening or night.

Beautiful clearings on the Mediterranean rim

On the other hand, from Occitania to the Mediterranean rim and the Alps, the morning mists will give way to beautiful clearings, except near the Gulf of Lion where increasingly compact maritime entrances will settle.

Minimum temperatures will show 0 to 5 degrees on the eastern half, 4 to 9 degrees in the west and on the Mediterranean coast.

The maximum will be between 8 and 13 degrees in the northern half, from 11 to 16 degrees in the south, up to 18 in Corsica and the Basque Country.
