Since 2012, all girls in grade five have been offered vaccination against HPV at school, but women born in 1999 and earlier are not vaccinated to the same extent.
- To increase vaccination coverage and create greater accessibility, the central vaccination units in both Umeå and Skellefteå will offer drop-in for these women on selected days between Christmas and New Year, says Ronny Lestander, vaccine coordinator.
The goal of the study is for 80 percent of women in the current age range to get vaccinated, so far just over 25 percent have taken the vaccine.
The vaccination clinics in Umeå and Skellefteå are open 28-29 December for drop-in.
