The National Assembly will hold a plenary session today (28th) at 4:00 pm and process amendments to the Korea Electric Power Corporation Act.

The National Assembly plans to propose and vote on an amendment to the KEPCO Act, which will raise the limit on KEPCO's corporate bond issuance from 2 times to a maximum of 6 times.

The National Assembly is also expected to post an amendment to the agenda of the plenary session, which aims to increase the limit on issuance of corporate bonds by Korea Gas Corporation from 4 times to 5 times.

However, the bills that expire at the end of this year, such as the Lorry Transportation Business Act and the Labor Standards Amendment Bill, were unable to reach an agreement between the ruling and opposition parties, and the plenary session was virtually canceled.

At today's plenary session, the motion for a body vote by Rep. Noh Woong-rae of the Democratic Party will also be voted on.

Rep. Roh is charged with taking bribes and violating the Political Fund Act.

The standing chairperson of the ruling party, whose term begins next year, will also be elected.

The People's Power previously appointed Yoon Young-seok as the chairman of the Standing Committee, Tae-ho Kim as the chairman of Foreign Affairs and Unification, Ki-ho Han as the chairman of the National Defense Commission, Je-won Jang as the chairman of the Public Administration and Security Council, and Deok-heum Park as the chairman of the information committee.
