Many people in the United States have had to cancel Christmas plans, when an extreme winter storm paralyzed all traffic in large parts of the United States.
However, SVT presenter Ann-Britt Ryd Pettersson managed to fly and arrive in the US just before the snow covered houses and streets.

Since she arrived in New York, she has mostly stayed indoors.
But others have not had the same opportunity to stay indoors, while many struggle with flooding.
