“The Hungarian Prime Minister’s statements demonstrate a pathological disregard for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people who are opposed to Russian aggression, as well as his own political myopia,” the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry website says.
The agency believes that the defeat of Ukraine will lead to "a direct threat of Russian aggression to Hungary and the Hungarians."
Viktor Orban has previously expressed confidence that the Ukrainian conflict will continue as long as Ukraine receives financial and military assistance from the United States.
He stressed that Hungary will continue economic cooperation with Russia, despite the dissatisfaction of the European Union.
