Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian National Security Council, presented predictions for the new year that included a bleak fate for the United States and the European Union, which have been locked in an intense conflict with Russia since the start of its war on Ukraine on February 24.

Yesterday, Monday, Medvedev published in his account on the Telegram application a list of 10 points that include his expectations of what could happen in the year 2023.

Among the most prominent of these expectations is that a civil war will break out in the United States, and that the states of California and Texas will become independent states, in addition to the establishment of the "Union of Texas and Mexico", and the election of the current CEO of Twitter, billionaire Elon Musk, as president of the United States.

With regard to the European Union, the deputy head of the Russian National Security Council predicted that the United Kingdom would return to it, and then the union would "collapse" after that.

He also talked about the establishment of what he described as the "Fourth Reich" to include Germany and its allied countries, and the seizure of Poland and Hungary on the western regions of the "former Ukraine". In this scenario, he went so far as to predict the outbreak of war between France and the "Fourth Reich", and the division of Europe.

Expectations also included an increase in the price of a barrel of oil to $150 and the price of a thousand cubic meters of gas reaching $5,000, refusal to deal in the euro and the dollar as global reserve currencies, as well as the transfer of all major stock markets and financial activity from the United States and Europe to Asia.

Medvedev wrote in his post, "Everyone should make forecasts before the new year. Many people present future hypotheses, and compete in suggesting highly unexpected assumptions or even absurd assumptions. Let us also contribute to this," according to what was reported by the Russian news agency "Tass". .

In the past few months, in the midst of tensions raised by the war in Ukraine, the deputy head of Russia's National Security Council has leveled strong criticism of the West.

Earlier this month, Medvedev announced that his country is intensifying the production of "the most powerful means of destruction" on the basis of "new principles", hinting at its use against the West.

"Our enemy is not only entrenched in the Kyiv province of Malorossiya (a territorial administrative entity of the former Russian Empire), but is also present in Europe, North America, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and others," the Russian official said.

And last June, the American magazine "Foreign Policy" published a report on former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, saying that the technocrat, who was showing gentle behavior, love of technology and friendliness to the West, had turned into a "crazy war hawk."
