State aid for the purchase of an electric bicycle will be accessible to more households in 2023, the government announced on Tuesday, three months after launching an ambitious "bicycle plan".

"To support a larger number of French people in the purchase of bicycles, the eligibility thresholds will be raised, from January 1, 2023, to cover 50% of the most modest households", explained the Ministry of Ecological Transition. in a press release.

The eligibility threshold for this bonus on the purchase of a bicycle, which can reach 300 euros, will be increased to a "reference tax income per share of less than 14,089 euros, against 13,489 euros currently", according to the same source. .

The conditions for granting the reinforced bonus of 400 euros, intended for precarious people and the disabled, will also be extended next year, with a reference tax income threshold per share increasing from 6,300 to 6,358 euros.
