Tanner said this in an interview with Die Welt newspaper.
According to the minister, hacker attacks are “one of the means of hybrid warfare for Moscow.”
She did not provide evidence of allegedly planned attacks.
“The likelihood of a power outage in some parts of the EU in the near future is very high.
The question is not whether they will come, but when they will come,” Tanner said.
In her opinion, shutdowns could affect both Austria and other European countries.
