With the mildness of the past few days, the little snow that had accumulated in the mountains has melted, forcing many ski resorts to close their slopes, especially in the Alps.

This is particularly the case in La Féclaz where holidaymakers, who hoped to take advantage of the snow, must find other occupations.

As winter began to set in, for the past few days, the weather has been getting milder and milder.

Consequences: no snow and many ski resorts have already closed in the Alps.

This is particularly the case in La Féclaz where holidaymakers, who were hoping to ski, take care of things differently.

Snow should be coming soon

By car, no need to put on the chains to access La Féclaz station.

The roads are snow-free, the grass is green, the alpine ski slopes are temporarily closed and tourists can only see.

"We won't be skiing, so we've brought the bikes for the little kids, we'll spend the days on walks. It's more like a week to be with the family. But hey, we would have liked there to be snow."

We must therefore fall back on other activities.

Ludovic hesitates: "we don't know yet. We're trying to decide between cross-country skiing, biathlon or Nordic, we came to see the prices."

Virginie decided because of the 150 kilometers of track, the 15 dedicated to Nordic skiing are still open.

It will be biathlon with rifle shooting.

"Last year we did an initiation to shooting at 10 meters with pellet rifles. This year, we wanted to try to do the big shots with real rifles. We wanted to see if we were capable of it," she smiles.

And if in La Féclaz everyone is waiting for snow, it should finally fall in about ten days.
