The ministry also reminded that the weekend, which coincides with non-working holidays, next year will be moved from Sunday, January 1, to Friday, February 24, and from Sunday, January 8, to Monday, May 8.

Earlier it became known that the Russian government approved the calendar of working and public holidays for 2023.

May holidays will last from April 29 to May 1, and also from May 6 to 9.

Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs Yaroslav Nilov said in an interview with RT about the need to fix December 31 in the Labor Code as an official day off.
