“As a result of operational-search activities, six members of the drug group involved in the criminal scheme for the delivery of marijuana from the southern regions of Russia were detained.
Approximately 260 kg of a prohibited potion have been confiscated,” said Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev.
It is clarified that law enforcement officers stopped the car, in the trunk of which, in place of the spare wheel, they found seven bags of banned substances.
This was the first link in the investigation.
As it turned out, the attacker planned to hand over the packages to an accomplice, in whose apartment another 79 kg of drugs were seized.
Subsequently, law enforcement officers successfully identified and detained other participants in the supply of narcotic substances.
The police are carrying out a set of measures to capture the leader of the group.
Earlier in Moscow, a court took a lawyer into custody for trying to smuggle drugs into a pre-trial detention center.
