China News Service, Beijing, December 26 (Reporter Liang Xiaohui) The revised draft of the Wildlife Protection Law will soon be submitted to the Standing Committee of the Thirteenth National People's Congress for three deliberations.

The spokesperson of the Legislative Affairs Committee of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress said in Beijing on the 26th that the third review of the revised draft will further improve the control measures for wild animal populations.

  The spokesperson said that to implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and based on the opinions of various parties, the revised draft submitted to the Standing Committee for deliberation for three deliberations is proposed to be revised as follows:

  One is to add "promote the harmonious coexistence between man and nature" in the legislative purpose, and "strengthen the protection and restoration of important ecosystems" and "adhere to the concept of ecological civilization and promote green development" in the protection principles.

  The second is to increase the content of wildlife protection and management information disclosure.

  The third is to further improve the control measures for wild animal populations.

  The fourth is to extend the management system of the artificial breeding list of national key protected wild animals stipulated in the current law to terrestrial wild animals with important ecological, scientific and social values, and to implement different management measures for artificial populations with mature and stable artificial breeding technology than wild populations .

  Fifth, further improve the measures for the prevention and control of alien species.

  The sixth is to increase the regulations on wildlife protection cooperation with neighboring countries.

  Seventh, according to the needs of law enforcement and punishment work, the competent department of wildlife protection of the people's government at or above the county level has strengthened the organization to standardize and guide the identification and value evaluation of wild animals and their products.

  The eighth is to increase the public interest litigation system, stipulating that actions that destroy wildlife resources, the ecological environment, and damage the public interest can be brought to the people's court in accordance with relevant laws.
