The unions of liberal doctors are calling for mobilization this week, at least until next Monday.

They want better pay.

A consultation with a general practitioner costs on average 25 euros in France.

But how much does a consultation with other European doctors cost?

For the second time since the beginning of the month, the unions of liberal doctors are calling for a strike.

In particular, they demand better remuneration by passing the consultations to 50 euros.

Currently, the price of consultations is 25 euros, one of the lowest rates in Europe.

But how much does a consultation with our European neighbors cost?

Refer to the annual salary: French doctors better off than European doctors

In the United Kingdom, you have to pay between 60 and 300 € for a consultation with a general practitioner.

Spanish doctors charge their patients €69.

On the other hand, in Spain as in Great Britain, most consultations are free in the public service.

In Germany, Italy or the Netherlands, an appointment costs on average between 65 and 78 €.

If we are far from the 25 € requested in France, French doctors still benefit from additional income.

For example, when they are attending doctors, the health insurance pays them and this income represents an average of €5,000 more per year.

Thus, rather than referring to the consultation fee, we must therefore look at the annual salary.

A French doctor earns three times more than the average salary of other inhabitants of the country.

Only German and British doctors earn more in Europe.
