400 euros in Blaringhem, 400 for its neighbor Renescure.

600 in Loon-Plage, 55… Nieppe… In the Dunkirk region, thirty municipalities have received anonymous cash donations in recent weeks.

Listed and mapped by our colleagues from La Voix du Nord, these mysterious shipments represent a total sum of 12,000 euros in banknotes.

Mailed in simple envelopes with the handwritten address, the offerings were accompanied by a small piece of paper on which is inscribed “For the telethon”.

Prohibited by La Poste

" This is the first time that i see this.

Faced with this cash, we were afraid, ”confesses, in the northern daily, the secretary of the town hall of Neuf-Berquin.

In France, banknotes and metal coins are also among the objects prohibited by La Poste (in the same way as narcotics or counterfeit items).

Redirected by the various municipalities, the money was paid to the association.

"Just before the holidays, it's a hell of a Christmas present," enthuses Aurélie Bogaert, host of the Telethon in Esquelbecq, interviewed by Le Parisien.

FranceTV for its part transmitted the little words to a graphotherapist who thinks that the writing is that of a woman, "rather old".

Spelling errors, error in the postal codes, identification number of the postmark… Every detail of the shipments was subject to interpretation on site without the donor being identified.

The AFM-Téléthon would however be delighted to be able to thank him.

Bruno Desbuleux, director of the network, launched an appeal to the donor to make himself known.

“We would like to thank him for his gesture by showing him around our laboratories,” he declared in Le Parisien.
