Five men and two women appeared this Wednesday before the court of Versailles (Yvelines).

The two women, as a couple, are prison guards.

One of them, working at the prison of Bois-d'Arcy (Yvelines), was accused of having brought or received in the establishment drugs, perfume, meat and alcohol intended to detainees, reports 78 Actu.

The case began in August 2021 with the search of a car containing goods.

The exploitation of telephones had enabled the police to understand the organization of the traffic and to identify the participants.

The main respondent received the objects at her home or picked them up in the prison.

She then handed them over to prisoners, either directly or through an intermediary.

The couple of guardians explained that they had acted to finance the PMA of one of them, but the two women used the approximately 4,000 euros for personal expenses.

The guard was sentenced to four years in prison, one of which was suspended.

His companion received a six-month suspended prison sentence and a 500 euro fine.

The sentences of the other defendants range from six months suspended sentence to thirty months imprisonment.
