The suspect in the "Paris attack" was transferred to a psychiatric hospital

The French authorities decided to lift the detention order for the suspect who killed three Kurds in Paris for health reasons, while he was transferred to a police psychiatric treatment center, according to the Public Prosecution Office.

The Paris Public Prosecution said, "The doctor who examined the suspect concluded that the health status of the person concerned did not comply with the detention procedure, and therefore the detention procedure was lifted pending presentation to an investigating judge when his health condition allows," stressing that investigations are continuing.

Since the attack, the hypothesis of the racial motive behind the crime has been weighted, and the prosecution stated that investigations focus on charges of murder, attempted murder and armed violence.

The attack took place in a street near a Kurdish cultural center in a commercial neighborhood frequented by the Kurdish community.

The shooter had committed violent acts in the past with a weapon.

Three people, two men and a woman, were killed in the shooting, and one man was seriously wounded, and two others had less serious injuries.
