It was around 3pm on Sunday afternoon that an avalanche occurred in the Lech-Zürs ski area.
Rescue services are on the scene with helicopters and have currently only found one person.
According to Blick, the search will be made more difficult by the darkness.
- We are doing everything we can to save the winter sports, says a spokesperson for Lech municipality according to the newspaper Volarlberg.
