There are said to be families in which the crisis-conscious part has recently been sneaking after the other.

If one turns on the light switch, you can bet that a moment later the other will turn it off again.

It doesn't have to come to that, but the fact is: We still haven't saved enough.

Not enough gas, not enough electricity.

It will be the winter of bad conscience - and the dark corners.

Are you one of those people who don't find it so nice to be greeted by a dark hallway?

Or operate a small night light for the sake of the children?

Before the winter days get even darker between unpleasant electricity bills and broken relationships: There are solutions.

So far even the winter sun is enough

Candles are not.

Ours has been a preserving jar with a dark lid and magnetic closure for quite some time: a sun jar, fairly produced in South Africa and fairly traded, available for around 35 euros in world shops, among other places.

The small, cozy light illuminates the dark apartment entrance and hallway.

It doesn't need electricity from the socket, it works with sunlight.

It's best to get a team right away: while one solar light is charging up on the balcony, the other can shine through the night, in years of faithful service.

So far, even the winter sun has been enough during the day without any problems – the lamp will only not appreciate sub-zero temperatures, so it soaks up the sun better when it is frosty if it is inside by the window.

Of course, there is not just one sunglass, but many models, some of which do not appeal to everyone.

The artist Olafur Eliasson, for example, designed a strange yellow flower called "Little Sun", which was also manufactured fairly, but this does not change the look.

Relevant dealers offer dozens of table and hanging lamps for sale.

So the sun comes into the apartment, the wallet is spared, the conscience too.

Christmas is coming soon.

A little light doesn't hurt.
