Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke during a public speech he delivered today, Sunday, about a series of achievements that his country is expected to achieve in the fields of energy, military industries, and others, during the next year.

Erdogan said during a speech he delivered at a youth conference in Erzurum, eastern Turkey, that the "Anadolu" warship, the largest ship of the Turkish fleet, will enter service in 2023.

He added that the same year will witness the launch of the local combat aircraft, and the start of serial production of the Turkish drone "Bayraktar Qizil Elma" (The Red Apple).

In other industries, Erdogan said that 2023 will witness the arrival of the local car "TOG" to the streets, and Turkey will also send the Türksat 6A satellite into space, which was designed and produced with purely local capabilities, according to the Turkish president.

In the energy sector, Erdogan announced that homes in Turkey will start using the gas discovered in the Black Sea - which has a volume of 540 billion cubic meters - starting from the first quarter of 2023.

On the other hand, the Turkish president spoke about Ankara's mediating role in the Russian-Ukrainian war.

Erdogan said, "Unfortunately, the West did nothing but provoke, and did not seek to play a mediating role. It was Turkey that mediated during the year 2022, and we were able to activate the Black Sea corridor to ship grain."
