Audi will field three RS Q e-trons at the start of the next Dakar rally, which will take place from December 31 to January 15.

Vehicles cut for the desert whose particularity is to use reFuel, a fuel made from residues, which does not compete with food agriculture.

Concretely, the manufacturing process converts biomass into ethanol.

This fuel is then used in the car's tank to power the energy converter (combustion engine) which provides electricity for driving the wheels.

One more step

In 2022, the first generation of the Audi RS Q e-tron had already participated in the Dakar with this type of hybrid electric propulsion with energy converter.

Switching to a renewable fuel to power the combustion engine marks a further step in reducing CO2 emissions.
