If you exclude the big football games, the "Tatort" crime thrillers from Münster attracted the most viewers in 2022.

This is shown by an evaluation by the video research working group together with the market research institute GfK.

"If you exclude sporting events, the 'crime scene' dominates the hit lists," said Kerstin Niederauer-Head, CEO of AGF Videoforschung.

The series "always manages to gather a large audience in front of the television on Sunday evenings." But news is also in demand, given the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine and its political and economic consequences.

With "Wetten, dass..?" a show also made it into the top ten.

At the top of the list without sports broadcasts is "Tatort: Des Teufels long breath" from Münster on January 16 with 14.569 million viewers (41.1 percent).

This is followed by the Münster “crime scene: A friend, a good friend” from November 13 (13.633 million, 41.7 percent) and the Münster “crime scene: Propheteus” from March 6 (11.512 million, 34.9 percent) .

This is followed by the ZDF thriller "Nord Nord Murder - Sievers and the murderous turquoise" from January 17 (10.559 million, 33.2 percent).

The first show is in seventh place: Thomas Gottschalk's "Wetten, dass...?" had 10.442 million viewers (39.6 percent).
