“The IAEA is preparing for the permanent deployment of IAEA teams at four other Ukrainian nuclear facilities, the Khmelnitsky, Rivne and South Ukrainian nuclear power plants (NPPs), as well as at the Chernobyl site,” the text of the official statement says.

In this way, the IAEA intends to provide the necessary technical support and assistance to ensure a high level of nuclear safety and reduce the risk of accidents.

Earlier, the head of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi, said that the ZNPP security zone is needed only to prevent a nuclear incident.
