• War Putin's druid proposes to sacrifice him

Few cats can boast of having an entry about them on Wikipedia.

Stepan

makes a face to say “buah”.

He was born in 2008 and was found by a Ukrainian woman named Anna when she was a one month old miniature.

Over time,

this striped feline became the most popular in the country for his jaded attitude towards life

, his aloof manner that made him the protagonist of videos and memes.

He has 1.3 million followers on Instagram.

And

he succeeds with his accounts on Twitter and TikTok

.

Stepan rose to fame in the pandemic.

In full swing during the quarantine, Anna recorded the first video of her with her cat and received several million views.

Her favorite number is

posing nonchalantly sitting at the table with a drink

, while retro music plays and disco lights are projected all over the wall.

His dejected gestures in the face of the furor that supposedly surrounds him make people connect with him.

One of these early Stepan videos was with a glass of wine, a cake, and

Stevie Wonder 's

I Just Called to Say I Love You

playing in the background

.

It reached more than 27 million views in a few days.

Then they looped the loop by interspersing videos of dogs

twerking

with shots of Stepan looking from one side to the other with a mixture of indifference and contempt: "It's me at the disco judging others," the text said.

But his consecration was in 2021, when the singer

Britney Spears

shared images of this cat tired of life.

The post had more than 1.1 million likes and almost 9,000 comments.

Stepan was on the crest of the wave and

the Italian fashion firm Valentino used his image to advertise one of his bags

, worth more than 2,500 euros.

But the honey of fame turned sour because of the war.

"On February 24, at 5:00 in the morning, while we were sleeping, there was an explosion and I didn't even realize what it was," recalls its owner.

"Then there were more shots, the windows rattled, I jumped out and realized something terrible was happening."

Stepan woke up frightened by noises he had never heard before.

They were bombing the Saltovka district, the northern neighborhood where he lives with his owner

From him: "We realized that the war had come to our house."

A few days later, a rocket hit the neighbor's balcony.

After two nights in the basement, Anna decided that she had to leave.

With her, Stepan made a 20-hour train ride to the Polish border and a nine-hour queue to cross.

There they received help from the World Association of Influencers of Monaco, which found them a place in France.

All that time there was silence on their social networks.

The devotees feared the worst.

Stepan became

the first Ukrainian cat with refugee status

and reappeared.

His followers sighed in relief.

From Europe he has raised funds to help his country at war.

On December 18, Stepan reported on his account that he was back in Kharkiv.

The portraits of him show him seriously, by the window, contemplating the destruction.

Even the mustaches of a war that he doesn't understand either.
