On November 3, Margaux Dietz posted the video that sent her followers into a frenzy.

In the film, she finds a man sleeping outside her apartment door.

The man was filmed by both Margaux's cameraman and herself.

Although the clip was removed, the content managed to spread.

In the days that followed, several companies ended their collaborations with the influencer and the debate spread far beyond her own comment field.

Reported to the police

On her Instagram, Margaux Dietz published an apology for the clip and said that she had been in contact with the man in the film.

"He apologized to me for falling asleep outside the wrong door and announced that he was fine and was now in the right place in the same property," she wrote in the post.

The film resulted in a police report, where the investigation is still ongoing, as well as a report of concern to social services, which was dropped.

- I know I have done wrong.

I feel the criticism.

But the hatred that is born out of a drive is the sickest thing I've seen, says Margaux Dietz in the documentary.
