The government today (23rd) finalizes the adjustment standards for wearing masks indoors.

Prime Minister Han Deok-soo presided over a meeting of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters for Corona 19 held at the Seoul Government Complex this morning and said that he would "confirm the criteria for determining when to ease the obligation to wear a mask."

Prime Minister Han said, "If two or more of the four criteria are met, including ① stabilization of patients ② reduction of severely ill patients and deaths ③ stable medical response capacity ④ acquisition of immunity for high-risk groups, the implementation time will be decided after discussions with the main script." explained.

However, he added, "Even in this case, to protect the vulnerable to infection, we will switch to it in stages, such as maintaining the obligation to wear it at medical institutions, pharmacies, and some social welfare facilities for the time being."

Prime Minister Han said, "If the obligation to wear indoor masks is eased, there is a possibility that the number of confirmed patients will temporarily increase."
