Twitter decided to launch a feature that enables users to view the number of viewers of their tweets, similar to the features on platforms such as YouTube, which shows the number of times a video has been viewed.

The announcement came via a tweet by Elon Musk on the platform, in which he said, "Twitter will allow the number of views, so you can know the number of times a tweet has been viewed, and this is normal for a video."

"More than 90% of Twitter users read, but don't tweet, reply or like."

Twitter already has a feature that shows more detailed analytics about tweets than just the number of likes, retweets and quotes.

Twitter is rolling out View Count, so you can see how many times a tweet has been seen!

This is normal for a video.

Shows how much more alive Twitter is than it may seem, as over 90% of Twitter users read, but don't tweet, reply or like, as those are public actions.

When you click the "View Tweet Analytics" button below posts, you can see how people interacted with your Tweet, such as how many people visited your account.

You can also see the total number of impressions, defined as "Twitter views of this Tweet".

The difference in the new number display feature is that the number will be visible to everyone, not just the account holder.

Not all users can access this feature yet, as it will take some time to roll out.

The feature is currently available on iOS and Android, with new functionality expected for the web platform soon.
