A serious accident occurred on Wednesday in Romans-sur-Isère (Drôme).

The facts took place while the child was crossing a pedestrian crossing with his father, completes France Bleu Drôme Ardèche.

The victim was seriously injured in the crash.

Alerted, the emergency services quickly went to the scene to help him.

The child was rushed to hospital.

He suffered from several injuries.

His vital prognosis was then engaged.

But his condition has improved and he is now out of danger, according to local media.

The car responsible for the accident was driven by an 80-year-old woman who was not injured.

The latter would have explained not having seen the boy and his father in time.

The driver underwent a blood alcohol test which was negative.
