A bill with such a norm, introduced by the senators, was adopted by the State Duma in the first reading on December 21.

In order to protect natural resources, the senators proposed to use the term "vegetable world" instead of the word "plants", which now appears in the code, "Parliamentskaya Gazeta" reports.

So, for example, according to the bill, you can get a fine for the destruction of the cone fly agaric and summer truffle.

It is noted that today for the destruction of rare plants listed in the Red Book of Russia or protected by international treaties, fines of 2.5-5 thousand rubles are provided for citizens, and 15-20 thousand rubles for officials.

As for companies, the fine can range from 500,000 to 1 million rubles.

Earlier in Russia, it was proposed to introduce criminal liability for the destruction of Red Book plants.

Also, the 360 TV channel reported that in the Moscow region the national project "Ecology" for 2022 was completed by 107%.
