Lima News: According to Reuters reports, on the 21st local time, Peruvian President Boluart presided over the swearing-in ceremony of the new cabinet at the Presidential Palace and appointed the former Defense Minister Alberto O. Tarolla serves as the President (Prime Minister) of the Peruvian Council of Ministers.

  This is the second time that Boluart has formed a cabinet since he took office as Peruvian president on December 7.

The 18 ministers in the new cabinet include 4 new members and 14 previous cabinet members.

  Otarola said that the new government will start the most extensive dialogue with all walks of life and strive to reach a consensus, with a view to restoring national governance and order as soon as possible.

  On December 7, the Peruvian Congress voted to impeach then-President Castillo on the grounds of "moral incompetence" and removed him from the presidency. Castillo was controlled by the police shortly after he left the presidential palace that day.

According to the Peruvian constitution, when the president is unable to perform his duties, he should be replaced by the vice president.

The then Vice President Boluart was sworn in as President on the same day.

  Castillo's supporters have recently held protests and demonstrations in many places in Peru, demanding the release of Castillo and Boluarte's resignation.

Protesters clashed with police, killing more than 20 people.
