Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Washington, DC for the first time since the outbreak of war with Russia.



Foreign media such as the Associated Press and Reuters cited US officials and reported that the US Air Force jet on which President Zelensky was riding landed at Andrews Joint Base near Washington, DC.



US President Joe Biden will meet with President Zelensky at the White House and hold a welcome ceremony, followed by a summit meeting.



This is the first time President Zelensky has visited a foreign country since the Russian invasion of Ukraine.



The two leaders will hold a joint press conference at the White House after discussing countermeasures against Russia's invasion of Ukraine.



Zelensky plans to return to Ukraine after addressing a joint session of Congress appealing for support for Ukraine under Russian invasion at the invitation of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.



Earlier, President Biden announced additional military support worth 1.85 billion dollars and about 2.3 trillion won in our money to Ukraine, including Patriot missiles, in line with President Zelensky's visit.
