Shoigu: retaliatory massive nuclear strike worked out in 2022 at Russian special exercises

“During a special exercise, the strategic nuclear forces successfully practiced the tasks of delivering a massive nuclear strike in response to the use of weapons of mass destruction by the enemy,” he said.

In October, it was reported that under the leadership of Russian President Vladimir Putin, ground, sea and air strategic deterrence forces were trained.

As part of the inspection, the Yars intercontinental ballistic missile and the Sineva ballistic missile were launched.

Shoigu clarified that during the training, the tasks of delivering a massive nuclear strike by strategic offensive forces in response to an enemy nuclear strike were practiced.
