“The sailors are provided with food, in addition, an additional supply of food is planned in the near future ... Issues related to the settlement of arrears in paying wages to sailors and the subsequent return of 13 Russian citizens to their homeland are being resolved,” the Russian Embassy in Venezuela said in a statement.

Earlier it became known that the Russian crew of the Panamanian ship Leros, located in the port of Venezuela, asked for help.

According to the sailors, they did not receive food, salaries and the necessary technical and administrative assistance.

The crew includes 13 citizens of Russia and five citizens of Indonesia.
