Russian President Vladimir Putin said yesterday that he was confident that Russia would win the war against Ukraine, and confirmed that the nuclear forces had reached 91%, considering that drones had become a fait accompli, which required knowledge of their use for every soldier, as he saw The conflict in Ukraine is a “common tragedy,” but Russia is not responsible for its outbreak.

Putin's speech came during an expanded meeting with the leaders of the Russian army to define the tasks of the military establishment for the next year.

Putin stated: "We will continue to support the combat capabilities and combat readiness of the nuclear forces, and this is a guarantee of our sovereignty and territorial integrity, and in general the nuclear deterrence supports the nuclear balance in the world."

He continued, "The supply of the nuclear forces has increased to 91 percent." He said that the nuclear forces are being supplied with the hypersonic "Avanguard" system, and for the first time these forces have been provided with the new intercontinental missile system known as "Satan" and the "Yaris" naval system.

Putin stressed that "these weapons have no analogues in the world."

In the drone file, the Russian president said that offensive mechanisms must be modernized and used, and that the use of drones has become a fait accompli.

He added that work must be done on this issue, which leads to its rapid elimination and the rapid processing of its information.

He said, "The experience of using marches must be with every recruit, and the day before tomorrow, and the concerned authorities must provide equipment and knowledge."

He urged the Ministry of Defense to provide recruits with the latest weapons and other required equipment, and called for the employment of artificial intelligence in military industrialization.

He added, "We know the means used by NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) forces during the special military operation, and all the information is available to the concerned authorities in Russia, and it must be analyzed in depth in order to raise the combat skills of our forces and other security bodies."

He continued, "We must benefit from the experiences that the Russian military has gathered in Syria, including conducting exercises at all levels and training officers and soldiers, so we should have sufficient and trained cadres."

He explained, "Close cooperation must be strengthened within the Coordination Council, the military complex, and state governors, which leads to the enhancement of knowledge to the front lines, which leads to the modernization and development of military tactics, and equipment and ammunition must be provided to the forces on these lines."

"What is happening is certainly a tragedy, a common tragedy, but it is not the result of our policy, it is the result of the policy of other countries," Putin said.

In turn, the Russian Minister of Defense, Sergei Shoigu, proposed yesterday to increase the number of combat personnel in the army, to 1.5 million, in addition to raising the age of military service.

"It is necessary to increase the number of the armed forces to 1.5 million personnel, including 695 thousand contract soldiers," Shoigu told Putin, who "approved" the proposals during a meeting of military officials.

Shoigu said that Russia is fighting in Ukraine "the combined forces of the West," because of its financial support and arms shipments to Kyiv.

On the other hand, the Kremlin warned that the visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to Washington yesterday, "will only lead to an escalation of the conflict."

“Weapons are still being delivered, and the range of weapons is expanding,” said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, highlighting reports that the United States would pledge to provide Ukraine with the Patriot missile defense system.

This will certainly lead to an escalation of the conflict, and it does not bode well for Ukraine.

Peskov noted that giving Ukraine Patriot systems not only means that US arms shipments to Ukraine will not stop, but also that more advanced systems are being sent.

On the ground, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced yesterday that its forces had taken control of new heights and front lines in the Donetsk axis.

The Russian channel, RT Arabia, quoted the Russian Ministry of Defense as saying, “The enemy’s losses there amounted to about 80 dead, tanks and three armored vehicles within a day.”
