"Today, the Peruvian government decided to declare the Ambassador of the United Mexican States, Mr. Pablo Monroy Cones, persona non grata, he was given a period of 72 hours to leave the country," the Peruvian Foreign Ministry reported.
It is noted that the decision was made in response to the statements of Mexican President Manuel Lopez Obrador about the political situation in Peru.
Earlier, Lopez Obrador expressed regret over the events in Peru, where the parliament approved the resignation of President Pedro Castillo.
