We are nearing the end of the draft budget for next fiscal year.

At the Ministry of Finance, ministerial negotiations will be held from 1:00 pm, and final adjustments will be made regarding individual items that have not yet been finalized.

Ministerial negotiations on the next fiscal year's budget bill will begin at 1:00 p.m. on the 21st at the Finance Minister's Office, and Finance Minister Suzuki will make final adjustments with 11 ministers and the Secretary General of the Supreme Court on individual items.

In the ministerial negotiations, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Nishimura will first discuss the issuance amount of the government bond "GX Economic Transition Bonds" that will be newly issued from next fiscal year to encourage companies to invest in decarbonization.

In addition to the approximately 500 billion yen to be issued as part of the initial budget for the next fiscal year, we will adjust the final issuance amount, including the amount appropriated for projects included in the supplementary budget for this fiscal year.

In addition, with Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare Kato, adjustments will be made regarding the revision of the price of medicines among the medical fees paid to medical institutions.

Regarding the 48% of the items that have already been decided to be reduced, it is expected that the specific amount of reduction will be discussed and the amount of reduction in overall medical expenses will be fixed.

In addition, with Minister Ogura in charge of the declining birthrate, we will expand subsidies from the next fiscal year so that nursery schools that take care of a large number of children who are difficult to see by nursery teachers can hire additional nursery teachers in order to solve the labor shortage at childcare sites. Adjust in direction.

The government plans to make a cabinet decision on next year's budget on the 23rd based on the results of ministerial negotiations.
