A 27-year-old woman is suspected of having committed two burglaries in two days in a residence in Melun (Seine-et-Marne).

The break-ins occurred on December 9 and 10, reports La République de Seine-et-Marne.

An investigation was immediately opened by the police.

Officers first discovered that the burglaries had been carried out using the same modus operandi.

Each time, the hinges of the door had been torn off.

And the stolen objects were laptops, screens or even video games.

In charge of the investigations, the police went to the scene and took fingerprints.

They then identified the suspect, who is none other than the neighbor of the burgled homes.

The young woman was arrested and placed in police custody where she admitted the facts.

She would have explained to the police that she had taken advantage of the absence of her neighbors to rob them.

Some of the stolen items were found at his home.

According to the investigators, the defendant would not have acted alone.

She will soon be tried in the context of an appearance on prior admission of guilt.
