This is how Laholm will be governed in the coming years - historic decision

At the beginning of October, M, C, L and KD presented that they would continue to govern in a minority in Laholm.

Then it was also announced that the Moderates would be allowed to fill the position of chairman of the municipal board.

After that, there have been internal disputes within the Moderates about who should get the assignment.

The new solution that was presented on Tuesday means that M loses leading positions in various committees as well as the chance to become chairman of the municipal board.

- It is very sad.

We had a great opportunity to get an M-led alliance that could have budgeted cooperation with the SD, but now we have landed here, says Eric Semb, group leader of the Moderates Lahom.

"Humble before the task"

The post of chairman of the municipal board instead goes to the Center Party's Ove Bengtsson.

- It is of course an honorable mission.

I am humble before the task, listening and will not make hasty decisions, says Ove Bengtsson (C).

A formal decision will be made during Tuesday's municipal council.
