The situation arose at the beginning of December in connection with a mealtime at the preschool in question.

As for what actually happened at the dinner table, the accused preschool teacher's version differs from what the woman's two colleagues told.

Something that they will also testify about during the upcoming trial.

Shut down

One of the witnesses to the incident immediately called his boss and told him what had happened.

The manager then immediately decided that the now accused woman would be suspended from her work for the time being.

Senior prosecutor Jens Göransson believes in his description of the crime that the preschool teacher hit the two-year-old in the head with an open hand.

He believes that what happened should be considered assault of the normal degree and not minor assault, which was the crime classification initially.

Among other things, taking into account the child's young age.

"Intent"

According to Jens Göransson, the act "was intended to violate the plaintiff's peace in a noticeable way", and it was committed "with intent."

The accused woman - who risks both prison terms and losing her job in the event of a conviction - is of a completely different opinion.
