During Monday morning, rain moves in over western Sweden, which during the day affects large parts of Götaland and Svealand, as well as southernmost Norrland.
It is rain or freezing rain in combination with cold roads, which risks making roads slippery.
During the afternoon, Hallandtrafiken canceled all buses in Halland County due to the slippage.
Västratrafik also warns of delays and canceled departures in the Västra Götaland region.
All bus traffic in Dalsland is completely suspended due to slippage.
"Can become frosty immediately"
According to SMHI, there is a risk of traffic accidents and limited accessibility due to the weather, which can also cause delays and canceled departures in bus, train and air traffic.
- When the rain hits the hill, it freezes, and then it can become icy straight away.
If the rain is freezing, there is a risk that it will freeze quickly on the windscreen, says Therese Fougman, meteorologist at SMHI.
"Let go of the gas"
According to the Swedish Transport Administration, there is a risk of difficult road conditions in several places where the rain moves in, and according to Therese Fougman, you should think before you get into the car.
- When it starts to rain, you have to keep in the back of your mind that it's cold.
Let off the gas and think about how you drive, says Therese Fougman.
In parts of the country, the weather brings snow instead of rain, and towards evening the rain will reach parts of Mälardalen.
- Think about it - do I need to drive, or can I leave it at home?, says Therese Fougman.
