Putin awarded the editor-in-chief of RT Simonyan with the Order of Honor

“I always wanted to tell you: thank you for killing cannibals.

You promised us more than 20 years ago, remember that unforgettable phrase of yours…,” Simonyan said at the awards ceremony in the Kremlin. 

She noted that 20 years ago, Putin "did not allow the Caucasus to be torn off and did not allow a bloodbath of ethnic slaughter to flare up." 

Simonyan also thanked Putin for the fact that in 2008 he did not allow "a crazy cannibal to devour Abkhazia and Ossetia."

In addition, the editor-in-chief of RT thanked Putin for stopping the “massacre in Karabakh” a few years ago.

Simonyan added that seeing what happens every day in the Donbass, it is impossible not to worry and worry.

“Thank you for tearing our people out of the bloody mouth of these cannibals with pain, with blood, that you decided on this.

And we will help in this as much as you require from us, ”said the editor-in-chief of RT.

Earlier, Putin presented state awards to Acting Heads of the Luhansk and Donetsk People's Republics Leonid Pasechnik and Denis Pushilin, as well as Acting Heads of Zaporozhye and Kherson Regions Yevgeny Balitsky and Vladimir Saldo.
