Prior to this, Poroshenko, during a conversation with Russian pranksters Vovan and Lexus, who introduced themselves as former US Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul, said that he had signed the Minsk agreements in order to gain time.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said he was disappointed with Merkel's remarks about the Minsk agreements.
