The government site Rappel Conso has identified a handful of classic Christmas Eve products that could pose health risks.

Between expired expiry dates, strange smell and contamination with bacteria, here is the list of essentials to banish.

These are flagship products for the end of the year celebrations, but which nevertheless deserve a certain vigilance.

The government site Rappel Conso, which lists products that are dangerous to health, has drawn up a list of New Year's Eve must-haves that could present some health risks.

The 2.5 kilo capon from the Le Gaulois brand is one of these products currently in the crosshairs of Rappel Conso.

The site recommends avoiding this poultry, contaminated with Listeria, a bacterium particularly dangerous to health.
