Despite the fact that the student choir from Bollnäs Folkhögskola had been invited by the politicians themselves to sing at the regional council meeting, the Lucia train was stopped at the last second by council chairman Mattias Eriksson Falk (SD).
His decision was justified by the fact that he believed the celebration was not traditional.
The decision has provoked strong reactions and has led to a petition with 4,000 signatures demanding Eriksson Falk's resignation and a report to DO.
