Permanent representative Ulyanov: Kyiv has not yet formulated a clear position on the protection zone at the ZNPP

He said this in an interview with TASS.

According to Ulyanov, the consultation process is ongoing, but progressing at a slow pace.

“Ukrainians have not yet clearly formulated their position,” the diplomat stressed.

On December 12, Ulyanov and the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi held talks.

On December 9, Grossi announced that the protective zone around the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant could start operating in the near future.

Deputy head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Sergei Vershinin noted that Russia trusts the expertise and knowledge of the IAEA in matters related to the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.
