An American F-35B warplane was involved in a strange accident after failing to land on the runway of a Navy base in the southern state of Texas, and the captain of the fighter was forced to jump with his parachute chair for rescue.

And local media published a video clip showing the warplane falling on its nose after it landed on the runway of the "Fort Worth" base of the US Navy in Texas, then smoke rose from it and began to rotate left and right while it was on the runway, so that the captain threw himself out of it with the chair, then the rescue parachute opened. And he descends safely, not far from the place of the plane.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Defense (Pentagon), Brigadier General Patrick Ryder, said - in a press conference yesterday, Thursday - that the fighter pilot is an employee of the government, adding that the warplane has not yet been handed over to the army.

And the American company "Lockheed Martin" for the military industry uses the runway of the base - in which the crash occurred - to conduct experiments on the "F-35" combat aircraft before handing them over to the American forces.
