United We Can has submitted a letter to the Constitutional Court to request that it suspend the extraordinary plenary session on Monday.

He argues that the appeal of the PP that demanded the very precautionary suspension of the vote on the reform of the Penal Code has been left "without purpose" because Congress already voted yesterday.

The letter from United We Can, in which he asks to appear, refutes the holding of the Plenary Session of the Constitutional Court based on the very text of the PP's appeal.

He quoted him as requesting very precautionary measures from the guarantee court "taking into account that, on December 15, the vote will take place in the Plenary of Deputies, so that, if the requested suspension is not agreed upon before said vote, the damage will be irreparable and the object of this procedure will lose its virtuality".

Unidas Podemos warns Constitutional that taking into account that they do not add to this request any other precautionary suspension of the processing of the law, "it is evident that the appeal has been without purpose and, therefore, the Constitutional Court has nothing on what to decide", point out sources from United We Can.

"We are going to defend democracy by all possible means in the face of this coup attempt by the political, media and judicial right," declared the spokesman for the parliamentary group, Pablo Echenique.
