The document states that ANO TV-Novosti, with the help of media subordinate to it, including RT, distributes “pro-Kremlin propaganda, disinformation” and supports the Russian special operation in Ukraine.

The general director of ANO TV-Novosti, Alexei Nikolov, also fell under the sanctions.

In total, 174 people and organizations fell under the new anti-Russian EU sanctions. 

In March, the UK imposed sanctions on ANO TV-Novosti and Rossiya Segodnya.
